Kates is responsible for managing the St. Louis-based bedding producer’s online functions and multiple websites, with a focus on strategies that will create a strong presence both for the Boyd corporate identity and for each of the company’s brands.
Previously, Kates spent two years as marketing director for Web2Carz.com, an automotive website dedicated to matching consumers with new and used cars, car insurance companies and car financing firms. Prior to that, he founded Jfknet Inc. and spent 14 years leading the digital marketing consultancy.
“More than 50% of consumers consult the Internet before making a purchase, and our objective is to effectively reach them with our brand messaging before they begin the shopping process,” said Dennis Boyd, Boyd Specialty president. “In managing our entire IT initiative, Jeremy will refine our current platforms and develop new ways to leverage online technologies to drive our business.”
