CertiPUR-US, a flexible polyurethane foam certification program managed by the Alliance for Flexible Polyurethane Foam in Hickory, N.C., has released a 90-second video for use by bedding manufacturers and retailers. The animated production seeks to raise awareness among consumers about the CertiPUR-US seal and convey the value of the program.
The educational video explains what is—and what is not—contained in CertiPUR-US bedding foams in a clear, engaging manner. Manufacturers and retailers may use the video on websites, YouTube channels, point-of-sale displays and elsewhere. The narrator is Kristen Udowitz, the voice of many Discovery Channel and National Geographic documentaries.
“A growing number of consumers want answers to questions about what is in the products they buy for their home,” said Doug Sullivan, Alliance for Flexible Polyurethane Foam executive director. “By giving manufacturers and retailers selling tools that are eye-catching, straightforward and simple to understand, we are making it easier to use the program as a powerful, value-added marketing advantage. This program helps answer consumers’ tough questions.”
The CertiPUR-US designation indicates that flexible polyurethane foams have been tested in accredited labs to ensure they are low-emission and made without ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, formaldehyde, prohibited phthalates and mercury, lead and heavy metals.
