High-end producer McRoskey Mattress Co., which hand-builds dozens of mattresses per month at its plant in downtown San Francisco, announced it is a long-time donor to the Canon Barcus Community House, a residential facility for the city’s homeless. When the facility was opened in 2002 by Episcopal Community Services, McRoskey donated the first 200 mattresses. The company has since provided an average of one bed set a month to new residents of the 48-unit building.

The donations to Canon Barcus Community House are one aspect McRoskey’s community involvement, the company said. It also is an active supporter of the arts, art students and local cinema, and frequently hosts fundraisers, art exhibits and other nonprofit events in the loft above its San Francisco showroom.
