Sleep Train pajama drive for Foster Kids breaks record

Mattress retailer Sleep Train, with headquarters in Sacramento, Calif., announced that its annual Pajama Drive for Foster Kids collected more than 28,000 items, an 85% increase compared to the 2012 drive. With six donation drives each year as part of its Foster Kids program, Sleep Train assists foster families in providing essential items for the children in their care.

The pajama drive was followed by an annual Shoe Drive for Foster Kids running through May 5. The retailer is publicizing the shoe drive with a Facebook contest where participants vote on their favorite shoe styles and became eligible to win weekly prizes.
