Sleep Country USA raises big bucks for foster kids

Sleep Country USA Pajama BowlSleep shop chain Sleep Country USA, headquartered in Kent, Wash., held the eighth annual Portland and Seattle Pajama Bowls, raising $154,000 for foster children. The money will be used to pay for foster children’s extracurricular activities, such as dance classes, camp programs and school field trips. Some 1,000 bowlers participated in the events, winning raffle prizes that included Beautyrest World Class mattresses.

“We are thrilled to host our most successful event to date,” said Jarrett Tomalin, Sleep Country USA marketing and community relations coordinator. “Thanks to our generous community, amazing team of employee volunteers and gracious partners, we are proud to help local foster children have the same opportunities to participate in the extracurricular activities we did as kids.”
