Airbed manufacturer and retailer Select Comfort, with headquarters in Minneapolis, has introduced a DualTemp technology topper to address disagreements between couples about optimal sleeping temperatures. DualTemp uses proprietary ActiveAir technology to heat and cool each side of the bed.
The DualTemp layer has two wireless remotes, allowing each sleeper to adjust their side to their ideal temperature preference. Each remote can be individualized with the sleeper’s name and has a timer that allows for automatic shut off. The retail price of a queen Sleep Number bed DualTemp topper is $1,699.99.
“Through consumer insights, we identified a need that wasn’t being met—the need to individualize temperature on each side of the bed to achieve better sleep,” said Annie Bloomquist, Select Comfort chief product officer. “We believe that only air can truly provide individualized comfort, and our ActiveAir technology, coupled with a simple user experience, offers an exclusive, premium product that combines high function and design to solve sleepers’ pervasive temperature problem.”
