Sleep shop chain Sleepy’s will host a grand opening celebration on Friday, Aug. 9, from 8-10 a.m. at the 177 N. State St. store to celebrate its entry into the Chicago market.
The Hicksville, N.Y.-based retailer recently opened 10 stores in Chicagoland, a move that it says is part of a planned expansion in the Midwest.
The public is invited to attend, preferably in their pajamas. The first 100 pajama-clad arrivals will be eligible to win a “Nap Sack” prize package filled with goodies. Radio station WTMX-FM will be on hand at the event.
Sleepy’s, a privately owned retailer with over 900 storefronts in 17 eastern states, said the store openings in the Chicago market are “a key milestone in (our) accelerated growth trajectory.”
