In October, mattress licensing group Spring Air International hosted its first international licensee conference in the United States. With a “California Experience” theme, a portion of the event was held at licensee Pleasant Mattress Co./Spring Air-Southwest in Fresno, Calif., a 150,000 square foot facility owned by Herb Morgenstern and his family.
The delegation of Spring Air manufacturers from Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe toured Morgenstern’s factory, which holds the Spring Air license for California and Arizona.
“I‘m very proud of our modern operation and our fine employees,” Morgenstern said. “We were pleased, not only to demonstrate our manufacturing knowledge, but to learn from our international colleagues and peers throughout the world.”
Thirty Spring Air international licensees attended, as did the mattress group’s Boston headquarters staff. The four-day meeting included events, activities and discussions focused on sharing new information and technologies. Attendees also visited several Spring Air retailers and enjoyed a tour of Napa Valley.
