Mattress fabric supplier Jacquard Textile Group Ltd., with international headquarters in Petchaburi, Thailand, has opened a new manufacturing facility at its Coimbatore, India-based operation.
The 29,500-square-foot plant is equipped with the latest yarn-spinning, extrusion, weaving, knitting and finishing machinery and has an output of about 766,000 yards of mattress ticking per month.
The new plant will improve the company’s product range and service levels and is designed to allow for future industry growth, said Stefan Heinke, managing director of Jacquard Textile Group’s Thailand and India operations.
Jacquard Textile Group, which has global distribution, entered the Indian market in 2007 and has manufacturing in Argentina, India and Thailand. The company’s European distribution partner is Stellini Textile Group, based in Magnago, Italy.
