Kingsdown retools marketing communications team

Mattress manufacturer Kingsdown Inc., with headquarters in Mebane, N.C., has made personnel changes in its marketing department and contracted with new advertising and public relations agencies.

Jacqueline Morton was promoted to senior director of marketing and will spearhead a revamped marketing program, a news release stated. In her new role, Morton is responsible for overseeing Kingsdown marketing efforts and managing relationships with outside agencies. Morton has eight years with the company and, most recently, held the title of marketing director.

Jeni Dwyer has joined the company as a graphic designer. She has 16 years of corporate graphic design experience for a range of companies. Dwyer manages Web and print design for Kingsdown’s domestic and international marketing programs.

Kingsdown has named three North Carolina-based agencies to help it build brand awareness among consumers and retailers, including advertising agency Bluezoom in Greensboro, public relations agency Largemouth Communications in Research Triangle Park and digital agency TrueParallel in Raleigh.

“We’re grateful to have experienced leadership and fresh talent on board who have all demonstrated great insight into the Kingsdown brand,” said Kevin Damewood, Kingsdown executive vice president of sales and marketing. “With these strong assets aligned, we are well-positioned for the future of Kingsdown and look forward to additional great achievements in 2014 and beyond.”
