Industry supplier Leggett & Platt, with headquarters in Carthage, Mo., has named John Case as president of its Chicago-based Consumer Products Group, a business unit that supplies bedding products and accessories to retailers. Case replaces Rob Woods, who continues with the company as executive vice president of business development.

Case has an extensive background in consumer goods and home furnishings. Previously, he was a partner at Thinking Dimensions Consulting. Prior to that he was president and chief executive officer at Electrolux Home Care Products Inc. Before joining Electrolux, Case held senior management positions at La-Z-Boy Inc.

As president of CPG, Case is responsible for all of the business unit’s primary operating activities. He is based in Chicago.
