Two reasons to visit the Bellagio during Las Vegas Market

Take a break from selling or shopping for beds and other sleep products at the Las Vegas Market next week:

1) Go see the temporary exhibition at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art“Painting Women” features famous works from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and sounds great. Like everything else in Vegas, there’s an entry fee, $15. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily. Here’s a description from the gallery’s website:

A series of paintings portraying female artists as confident practitioners of their craft, as well as a survey of work by women artists, including Mary Cassatt, Georgia O’Keeffe and Berthe Morisot. … The works will be arranged thematically from the 1870s, the era when fine arts training programs first became available to women, to the mid-20th century when women … adopted more abstract, modern styles.

2) All mattress industry meet-up: For an entirely different scene, stop by the Bellagio’s Lily Bar on July 28, Monday night from 8 p.m. on. This friendly get-together has become a tradition for many. What started years ago as a girls’ night out, GNO, is now an everyone’s night out. As organizer and mattress industry veteran Anne Pillow said, “The girls got overtaken quite some time ago, but the event goes on! It’s a fun time to catch up with friends in the industry.”
