Mattress industry supplier Latex International, based in Shelton, Connecticut, has hired Dan Manning to the sales post vice president of components for the eastern region. He reports to Ken Hinman, executive vice president of component and direct-to-retail sales.

Manning has responsibility for working with existing customers to develop new programs and strategies, and for opening new sales channels.

Most recently, he was district sales manager with Omni Cable. Prior to that, he was southeast sales manager for FXI.

While with FXI, Manning grew company revenues by 600% in two years, a news release said.

“We are thrilled Dan has joined the company because his prior experience selling specialty bedding components is an asset to the company,” Hinman said. “He understands the nuances of our business and knows first-hand how incorporating innovative materials into the different layers of a sleep product can add to the comfort and value of a mattress, topper or pillow. Coming off a strong third quarter, Dan adds extra management muscle to our team at an important time for us.”
