Mattress maker Paramount Sleep, with headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia, has hired seasoned mattress-sales executive David Tenuta for the position director of strategic accounts and business development.
Tenuta is responsible for overseeing the company’s “most strategic accounts” and will manage business development throughout the United States, a news release said. He reports to Bill Bush, Paramount vice president of sales.
Previously, Tenuta spent 10 years in sales-management posts with mattress maker E.S. Kluft & Co. Prior to that, he worked with Kingsdown for six years as vice president of sales.
“David has an impressive track record managing key accounts in the bedding industry,” Bush said. “I am confident that he is the right person to represent Paramount Sleep.”
Paramount is an 80-year-old, family-owned company that manufactures bedding under seven brands—A.H. Beard, Back Performance, Boutique Hotel, Doc in a Box, GoodNite, HD Super Duty and Nature’s Spa.
