Start-up Simplified Bedding appeals to investors who hate to make their beds

Simplified Bedding KickstarterStart-up bed linen company Simplified Bedding, with headquarters in Boulder, Colorado, has launched a “crowdfunding” campaign at Kickstarter.com, to fund initial production of its patented Simplified Bedding system. Created by company founder Emily Stinchcomb, the product combines a washable flat sheet zippered to the underside of a duvet cover, and aims to end tangle sheets forever and ease the chore of making your bed. The all-cotton set retails for $179 in queen and comes with coordinating pillow shams.

“I developed this idea out of a desire to create a comfortable, clean and simple bedding system, inspired by the European style of sleeping without a flat sheet,” Stinchcomb said. “We have all the choices in the world when it comes to designs, patterns and colors for bedding, but little choice in terms of functionality and simplicity. What we’ve created is truly innovative in terms of how your bedding functions—saving you time and resources, and delivering the perfectly made bed—every time.”
