West Long Branch, New Jersey-based Comfort Revolution, a specialty mattress and sleep accessories supplier, has hired Dave Brummett as vice president of product development and merchandising, a new position for the company.

Brummett is responsible for developing the company’s next generation of mattresses, pillows and toppers, as well as a comprehensive merchandising strategy. Comfort Revolution markets products under its own brand and under Sealy Corp.’s Sealy, Sealy Posturepedic, Optimum and Stearns & Foster brands.

Comfort Revolution hired Brummett due to its rapid growth in 2014 in all retail channels, said company founder Michael Fux. “This year has outpaced all our expectations. We wanted an innovator who would enhance Comfort Revolution’s reputation for revolutionary comfort, someone with business savvy and extraordinary creativity. We’re thrilled that Dave Brummett person is Dave.”
