Simmons Knife & Saw Moves To Bigger Quarters

Simmons Knife and Saw Moves

Simmons Knife & Saw owner Bruce Gillilan cuts the ribbon on the company’s new headquarters in Glendale Heights, Illinois, with the assistance of town officials and company employees.

Industry supplier Simmons Knife & Saw, formerly Simmons Engineering, has relocated to Glendale Heights, Illinois, about 20 miles from its former headquarters in Wheeling, Illinois.

Increased sales, as well as the consolidation of California and Illinois operations, led to the move to a new, larger headquarters, according to a news release.

“The new plant doubles production floor space, allowing for additional production lines and improved operational efficiencies to meet an expanding market,” said Colin Murphy, Simmons vice president and general manager. “This move positions us to continue to remain competitive with the ultimate result being improved customer service and satisfaction.”

Since 1946, the company has supplied cutting blades for use in foam fabrication, food processing, metal cutting and packaging.
