Tielt, Belgium, Nov. 16, 2016 — The Latexco Group with company headquarters in Tielt, Belgium has executed an agreement with Kalathi LLC, an Atlanta based company owned by Mr Carl Bouckaert, to purchase Kalathi’s equity ownership of Latexco US Holdings LLC as of November 2016. Latexco US Holdings was founded as a 50/50 joint venture between Latexco and Kalathi, and will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Latexco Group.
Latexco US Holdings unites the production facility at its Lavonia, Georgia operation (Latexco US East) with the conversion and distribution center located in Santa Fe Springs, California (Latexco US West, formerly dba SleepComp West).
Since the start of Latexco US Holdings in 2006, we have made great progress in building out our US operations to a profitable company. With a > 20% per annum growth over the last four years we are serving over 200 customers in North and South America. Latexco US Holdings solid reputation in latex manufacturing along with the strong focus on the development of specific technical PU foams has proved to be successful.
Together with the consolidation of ownership we can also announce the appointment of Mr. Ben Ducatteeuw as new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Latexco US. He will assume this position effective Monday, January 2nd, 2017. Ben has been active as managing director for the Deslee-Clama innovation center in Belgium over the last five years, overseeing sales and innovations within the mattress ticking industry. Together with our COO, Bob Carstens, he will be navigating our company in the years to come.
Vincent Gesquiere, who has been successfully leading our US activities since the start, will move back to Belgium after having a period of hand-over to Ben and will, from out of Belgium on a temporary basis, continue to work on certain projects and product developments for the Latexco Group.
With this consolidated ownership and new management team, the Latexco Group is pursuing its belief in the future growth and opportunities of Latexco US Holdings where we continue to position the company as a reliable and innovative partner and a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the mattress industry.
