Mattress Maker Significantly Increases Manufacturing Capacity

Sumner, Washington, Nov. 14, 2016Sound Sleep Products, a manufacturer of premium mattresses and bedding products, today announced that it has significantly increased its manufacturing capacity with the opening of a new 120,000 sq. ft. facility in Sumner, Washington. Their corporate headquarters will be moved to this location as part of the transition.

“Our new facility represents an investment in Sound Sleep’s future, following the acquisition of Oregon Mattress Company in 2015. It also stands as a statement of our faith and success in manufacturing in the USA and the Pacific Northwest,” states John Larsen, owner and CEO.

The plant will feature the latest in technology, focused upon driving quality, efficiency, and innovation, including their commitment to roll pack technology.

Since its inception in 1992, Sound Sleep has handcrafted over 1 million mattresses, distributed throughout the western United States and overseas.

“Our new plant design positions us to dramatically increase our production and logistical capabilities, maintaining our consistent commitment of safe operation,” shares Raymee Delaney, Sound Sleep COO.

The plant includes 27 docks and a 20,000 sq. ft area specifically dedicated to inbound and outbound shipping. Strategically, the plant location adjoins a freeway on-ramp linking them to the I-5 corridor.
