Navy veteran Mark van Osdel of LeClaire, Iowa, and his service dog, Chance, were among recipients of Lexington, Kentucky-based Tempur Sealy International’s donations in 2016.

“Men and women in the armed services, as well as their families, give so much to our country—including a peace of mind that allows all of us to sleep soundly at night,” said Scott Thompson, chair, president and chief executive officer of Tempur Sealy. “Our goal is to honor and support service members by delivering great sleep throughout the year with the help of retailers and other organizations who share our pledge.”

Among the donations Tempur Sealy made in support of service members, veterans and their families were Tempur-Pedic mattresses for members of the U.S. Special Operations Forces community; mattress toppers to troops located in remote regions; mattresses, pillows and teddy bears for military mothers-to-be at a baby shower; and beds for veterans as part of its “Sleeping on the Lead” campaign with the PGA Tour.
