“ISPA is excited to once again offer this opportunity for our members to gather, make connections and exchange ideas,” says Mary Helen Rogers, ISPA vice president of marketing and communications. “This year, we have an outstanding lineup of educational sessions that will provide attendees solid take-away value. We are returning to the amazing venue at the Vinoy Renaissance Resort in St. Petersburg, Florida which will also be the site of the ISPA Golf Tournament, which this year will support the Colon Cancer Alliance. Sunshine, golf, great speakers—what more can you ask for in a conference?”

The two-day event, themed “How to be the Best When Everyone is Good,” will be an excellent investment of your time, Rogers says.

Networking functions throughout the conference will help you establish new connections and enrich existing relationships with a diverse group of customers, partners and peers. Social events kick off with a golf tournament at noon Wednesday, March 8, and continue that day with an ISPA Women’s Network Reception at 4:30 p.m. and Welcome Reception at 6 p.m. The following night, Thursday, March 9, the networking will continue at 6 p.m. at an industry reception and dinner, billed as “An Evening in Paris” with food stations and bar, live music, and street entertainers. It will be followed by a casual, sit-down dinner and lively after party—a festive conclusion to the conference.

Educational sessions kick off at 8:45 a.m. Thursday with the keynote, “Visibility Wins!
How to Attract the Best Customers and Create an Army of Raving Fans,” by David Avrin, an internationally renowned marketing and branding speaker, and known as “The Visibility Coach,” based in Castle Rock, Colorado. He will tackle this critical question: How can you discover and create meaningful differentiators to earn mindshare and build your brand?

During “Sin and Salvation Within Your Reach,” moderator Julia Rosien, brand director for mattress licensing group Restonic, based in Buffalo, New York, will lead a panel discussion about how to identify a real communications crisis, create a management plan for such an eventuality and avoid costly mistakes in the first place.

On Thursday afternoon, Jordy Leiser, co-founder and chief executive of StellaService, with headquarters in New York, will explore how attendees can improve their service operations to help build brand equity, increase customer advocacy and grow sales.

In “Positioning Your Latest Innovation as a Consumer ‘Must-Have,’” Leggett & Platt Inc.’s Mark Kinsley will share ways to effectively communicate the benefits of a new product through ingenuity and persistence.

Trish Mueller, owner of Austin, Texas-based Mueller Retail Consulting and former chief marketing officer for Home Depot, will present the closing keynote, “Don’t Buy into Your Own B.S.—Succeed in an Omnichannel World,” examining the importance of mastering multiple marketing channels to compete in today’s digital space.

An exhibit hall open throughout the conference will give attendees a chance to see the latest products and services from industry suppliers.
