The biennial Interzum event, scheduled for May 16-19 in the Koelnmesse Exhibit Complex, is expected to attract 57,5000 visitors from more than 143 countries. In 2015, attendance from visitors outside of Germany increased 17% from the previous show, says Kasia Piechnik, sales and project manager for Koelnmesse of North America.

This year, two new exhibit halls will add more square footage, making it even more of a destination.

“This is definitely the most international show for suppliers,” she says. “There are lots of product introductions here.”

ISPA offers the Bedding Centre to make it easy for small to midsize companies to be a part of the huge trade show. The center highlights machinery, equipment, supplies and services available to mattress and sleep products manufacturers from some of the most innovative companies in the world.

The Bedding Centre, an ISPA tradition for at least 20 years, is ideal for companies looking for a hasslefree, high-visibility space at a good price. The pavilion provides floor space and stand construction; booth setup, dismantling and cleaning; a company sign; and standard equipment, including electricity and spotlights, so exhibitors can focus their time and efforts on sales and marketing. ISPA also provides a lounge, interpreters, snacks and beverages.

“The Interzum trade show in Cologne is an important event for the global mattress industry, and ISPA is proud to have been a part of it for many years,” says Ryan Trainer, ISPA president. “The ISPA Bedding Centre provides member companies an efficient and affordable option for exhibiting at Interzum. It offers a turnkey space, focused promotion and translation services that are ideal for new exhibitors that want to experience Interzum for the first time or for seasoned exhibitors that want to downsize, but maintain a presence. I look forward to seeing ISPA member exhibitors and attendees at Interzum in May.”

Executives with Wright Global Graphics say they look forward to returning, as well.

“We always look forward to the show in Cologne,” says Don Wright, senior vice president and chair of the Thomasville, North Carolina-based company. “It is a great opportunity to connect with our customers from around the globe, and it’s always a show that highlights the newest technologies and products that are making their way into the markets.”

Wright also spoke highly of the bedding center itself.

“The ISPA bedding pavilion is always a center of activity and is recognized as an important destination for anyone in the industry,” he says. “The center is always perfectly located and staffed with exceptional translators who have an understanding of the business and the products.”

ISPA staff members also are available to help in any way possible.

“The ISPA staff helps make coordination and setup a simple process, and their support during the show itself is invaluable,” Wright says. “We look forward to another successful Interzum Cologne.”

Traditionally, the ISPA Bedding Centre has been a good place for companies to “test the waters” at Interzum, so to speak.

“The Bedding Centre makes it easy for members to be a part of one of the largest international shows. With the turnkey booth space and dedicated service representatives, it makes the process less overwhelming,” says Mary Helen Rogers, ISPA vice president of marketing and communications.

“Being a part of the ISPA community at the event brings additional visibility to exhibitors in the ISPA space. Many will come and participate in the Bedding Centre and get a feel for the event and layout, and decide to expand their space into a permanent location within the exhibition,” she says.
