Custom Synthetic Fibers Inks Sales Deal with FiberQuest

Recycled polyester fiber supplier Custom Synthetic Fibers LLC, based in Rogersville, Alabama, has named FiberQuest LLC, headquartered in Florence, South Carolina, as its sole sales agent in North America, according to a news release.

CSF opened in the fall of 2016 and produces 40 million pounds annually of recycled polyester staple fiber for a variety of sectors, including the bedding industry, which is a major user of recycled and virgin polyester fiber.

Its $6 million facility can scale up to 120 million pounds per year, the company said.

Its company principals include the majority owners of two PET (polyethylene terepthalate) plastic bottle recycling firms: Custom Polymers Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Custom Polymers PET LLC, in Athens, Alabama.

FiberQuest is a veteran leader in the sale and distribution of virgin and recycled polyester staple fiber, with more than 200,000 square feet of warehouse storage space at its disposal.

“We are excited about working side by side with Custom Synthetic Fibers and its team of production experts,” said Brad Dutton, FiberQuest principal. “What they offer is unique—they do it all, from recycling to the production of virgin extruded fiber. They are a quality group producing a high-quality product. The partnership with CSF allows us each to maximize our core competencies while providing customers with superior product and service.”

John Calhoun II, a principal of CSF, said: “(The FiberQuest) team understands the polyester fiber market better than anyone, and we feel our quality fiber coupled with their distribution and market experience is a perfect fit.”
