The Humboldt, Tennessee-based Jones Family of Companies, which includes Jones Nonwovens and Jones Yarn, has appointed Steve Tonkel chief financial officer and added Gary Raley to its board.

A certified public accountant with almost 30 years of experience in the accounting and finance fields, Tonkel has worked for manufacturers of automotive parts, river barges and ocean tankers and heavy construction equipment.

Gary Raley
Raley is the seventh and final addition to the company’s newly formed board of directors. He brings significant board experience, currently serving as a director for Bemis Manufacturing, Weigel’s Stores, Buehler’s Fresh Foods and Gorilla Glue. His most recent employer was S.C. Johnson, where he was vice president of U.S. sales.
“Gary’s experience in sales and marketing will both enrich the board and allow him to serve as a guide for the future of our brand as we expand our business units,” Ayers said.
With the addition of Raley, the board of directors includes three Jones family members, three nonfamily members and Ayers, who also is nonfamily representative.
