Leesa Adds 2 Executive Positions

Mattress e-tailer Leesa, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, has hired veteran e-commerce executive Nick Stafford for the newly created position of chief operating officer and added Erica Cooper as head of public relations and communications.

Stafford previously held leadership positions at several consumer brands, including LivingSocial, as well as at global travel businesses. He has a 20-year track record in leading and scaling consumer brands in e-commerce.

In his new COO position, Stafford is responsible for Leesa’s day-to-day operations, overseeing marketing, product management, design, technology development, customer experience and human resources.

“As Leesa grows, we need to continually improve our products and experience to meet the high expectations of our discerning customers,” said David Wolfe, Leesa chief executive officer. “Nick’s experience in building teams and scaling direct-to-consumer e-commerce companies will play a key role in our rapid expansion.”

In her new position, Cooper is responsible for driving brand awareness and delivering positive business results, working closely with Jamie Diamonstein, Leesa co-founder and chief product officer; Stafford; and Wolfe. Most recently, she was senior vice president at Kaplow, where she provided strategic direction to the Target team.
