Art Van aids flood victims

Retailer Art Van Furniture, based in Warren, Michigan, assisted victims of flooding this summer across the Chicago area by offering them special prices in its 12 furniture stores and five Art Van PureSleep mattress stores.

Through the Art Van Furniture Mattress and Flooring Emergency Flood Relief Program, consumers were invited to bring in photos of their damaged furniture, mattresses or flooring—or an insurance claim—to receive the equivalent of the company’s employee family pricing on new products.

“We want to do all we can to assist Chicagoland families whose homes and furnishings have been damaged by the record-breaking flooding,” said Kim Yost, president and chief executive officer. “Art Van is committed to helping our neighbors pick up the pieces as they begin the process of refurnishing.”
