MIDDLETOWN, PA, Sept. 1, 2017: Furniture First Buying Group has announced that in cooperation with Serta, they will be donating 2 trailers full of their private label Mattress 1st product to flood victims in Texas.  One trailer will go to Houston and the other to Beaumont.

In addition, Furniture First will be making a monetary donation that will benefit both of these storm ravaged areas.  Furniture First has members in these communities and is supporting their efforts to aid in the recovery.

“We’ve seen our share of flooding in the south-central Pennsylvania area.  Certainly nothing like they are experiencing in Texas but the memories are still fresh in our area of when Hurricane Irene hit in 2011 and Sandy in 2012.  This is more than neighbor helping neighbor.  It being able to give a small spark of hope to people who have truly lost everything. We are privileged to be able to help,” said Andrew Kauffman, CEO of Furniture First.

Furniture First is a cooperative national home furnishings and mattress buying group serving full line independent retailers with sales over $2 million. The group represents 472 store fronts in 47 states, collectively generating $2 billion in retail sales.
