G. Wendell Piper, president and chief executive officer of machinery supplier Atlanta Attachment, died Feb. 22 at age 64.
Piper served as president of Adler America/Durkopp Adler for 12 years and was president and CEO of Atlanta Attachment for the past 13 years.
“Mr. Piper had a very diverse and successful career in the sewn products industry and will be greatly missed,” said Elvin Price, chairman of Atlanta Attachment in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Piper, a native of the Atlanta area, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Snellville and the Lawrenceville Rotary Club. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy; brothers–in–law John M. Connally and Charles Connally; sister–in–law Betty Jo Smith; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Feb. 25 at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Snellville, Ga.
