Sleep Innovations appoints new leader

Sleep Innovations, a maker of memory foam mattresses, pillows and mattress toppers based in West Long Branch, N.J., has hired Joseph E. Lynch as president and chief executive officer.

Lynch replaces Michael Fux, the company’s founder, who has served as interim president and CEO since December. Fux remains a member of the board and will continue to be involved in product innovation and customer relations.

Lynch has more than two decades of experience in global branding, manufacturing and marketing. He previously was president and CEO of Schick–Wilkinson Sword, an Energizer Holdings company. He took the helm of the company in 2000 and oversaw the development of a number of wet shave products including Xtreme 3, Quattro and Quattro For Women. He began his career with the accounting firm Arthur Andersen and has held positions at Wyeth, Warner–Lambert and Pfizer.

“Joe is a talented executive with a proven track record of developing and marketing innovative, high–impact brands,” Fux said. “I am proud of what Sleep Innovations has accomplished and am confident that with Joe’s leadership, creativity and vision, our company is entering an exciting period of growth and product innovation.”
