Mattress licensing group Comfort Solutions in Willowbrook, Ill., has added three executives to its management team.
Kent M. Lamoreux has been hired as senior vice president of marketing and merchandising. He replaces Mark Wozniak, who left the company earlier this year. Lamoreux has 30 years of experience in the furniture and mattress industries and most recently was vice president of merchandise and operations for the Phoenix–based retailer Sleep America, a position he held for 10 years.
In his new position with Comfort Solutions, Lamoreux is responsible for all marketing and merchandising activities and also supervises the company’s showrooms in Las Vegas and at its headquarters. He reports to Dave Roberts, Comfort Solutions president and chief executive officer.
Gail O’Connell has been named vice president of creative and marketing services, a new position. She has corporate and advertising experience and previously was director of national event marketing for GMAC Home Services. She reports to Lamoreux.
“Gail’s insight into today’s female consumer will bring a much needed perspective as we approach the market with our programs, especially taking the success we’ve generated with Laura Ashley to the next level,” Roberts says.
Finally, Philip Y. Shen has been hired as director of international business, also a new position. Shen recently retired from Carthage, Mo.–based components supplier Leggett & Platt, where he had been president of L&P’s Asia Pacific operations. He will help grow Comfort Solutions’ presence internationally and represent the company’s interest with its international licensees.
