Spring Air International, with headquarters in Boston, has promoted Bill Frame to vice president of manufacturing, a newly created post. He previously served as director of manufacturing services.
In the new position, Frame works with licensees on product development, pooling and leveraging best practices, quality assurance and advancing new vendor programs and services. He reports to Rick Robinson, Spring Air president.
Frame’s prior mattress manufacturing experience includes positions as plant manager for both the former Spring Air Co. and Serta and as factory superintendent for Sealy. He has experience in information systems and began his career as a product manager for a Japanese automaker.
“Bill works tirelessly with our vendors, factories and the entire Spring Air team at a level of professionalism I’ve rarely seen in my 30 years in the industry,” Robinson said. “His can–do attitude has generated great feedback from nearly every Spring Air factory that is part of the new organization. This is a well–deserved promotion.”
