Mattress licensing group Comfort Solutions has named mattress and home furnishings industry veteran Janet Cruz–Levy to the newly created post of brand development manager.
She reports to Owen Shoemaker, senior vice president of product and marketing for the Willowbrook, Ill.–based company. She is responsible for assisting in the development and promotion of new and existing products, including Comfort Solutions’ Laura Ashley brand.
“Janet has had a range of experience in mattress and furniture wholesale, key account sales and retail store management,” Shoemaker said. “Her particular background and skill set will be invaluable to us as we continue to develop sleep solutions and brands that are timely and relevant to both retailers and consumers.”
Previously, Cruz–Levy was a sales representative and key account manager for the former Spring Air Chicago licensee. Before that, she was key account manager for Universal Furniture Co., primarily serving Sears and its 72 HomeLife stores in the Midwest and eastern United States.
