Enso Sleep Systems adds sales VP post

Klaussner Home Furnishings, which has headquarters in Asheboro, N.C., has hired Mark Akerman as vice president of sales and merchandising for its Enso Sleep Systems mattress brand. It is a newly created position.

Akerman’s areas of responsibility include sales, marketing and merchandising for the imported bedding line. He reports to Jay Foscue, senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Previously, Akerman was vice president of sales for Southfield Furniture. He is a mattress industry veteran with more than 12 years of experience in sales management roles at Sealy, including vice president of global hospitality and export and vice president of Latin American operations.

“We are very excited to have Mark join our team,” Foscue said. “He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience and will help us continue to grow our memory foam bedding line.”
