Henning leads Dormeo Octaspring North America

Mattress industry veteran Chris Henning has been named president of North America for the Dormeo Octaspring mattress brand, part of London-based Studio Moderna Brands International, a multichannel marketing conglomerate operating in 21 countries.

Henning, who is based in Dallas, reports to Kym Bramm, Studio Moderna chief executive officer.

Henning has 25 years of management experience in the mattress industry. Most recently, he held an executive position with licensing group Comfort Solutions. Previously, he was president of U.S. sales for Kingsdown, and prior to that, was president of retail for Tempur-Pedic.

“Dormeo is already a leading mattress brand in Europe and Asia, and we now look forward to introducing the Dormeo Octaspring brand to the North American consumer through Henning’s leadership,” Bramm said. “The synergies are perfect. We are specialists in creating brand awareness through television and other forms of direct marketing and Henning is the expert we need to ensure the success of the brand at retail.”

Henning said he was drawn to Octaspring “because the product is so sensational.”

“Its patented foam spring technology and plush finish is uniquely different from anything else that’s on the market and is absolutely ideal for the growing specialty mattress sector,” Henning said.
