The National Bed Federation, a trade association for mattress makers and suppliers in the United Kingdom, is celebrating its centennial and has released a special book, Bed Times: 100 Years of the National Bed Federation.
The 118-page book, written by social historian Bill Laws, traces the history of the organization, technological innovations in the industry and trends in consumer buying habits, among other things.
Copies are available from the National Bed Federation, www.bedfed.org.uk for about $31 U.S. (The book is not associated with BedTimes magazine, the monthly business journal of the International Sleep Products Association.)
