Marketing services provider Wright Global Graphic Solutions has expanded its operations in China to accommodate production of its top-of-bed and woven label lines.
The move was in response to growing customer demand for lower price points both domestically and abroad, the Thomasville, N.C.-based company said.
Time-sensitive orders and five-day turnaround Express Program orders continue to be manufactured in the United States. All design functions also are U.S.-based.
“Expanding our Wright Global Graphics facility in China was a strategic decision that allows us to offer customers more competitive pricing without compromising the award-winning design process for which we are known,” said Greg Wright, chief executive officer. “With the expansion, customers will also have the option of having small orders filled locally and the balance of their order can be produced in China at a lower cost. Strategically, establishing a permanent presence overseas allows us to continue to grow our international business.”
Wright’s Chinese office is located in the Shunde District in Guangdong province, the country’s seat of furniture manufacturing. Ron Wright, senior vice president of strategic planning at the company, oversees Wright’s China operation.
