Hästens rolls out adjustable bed, celebrates anniversary

Adding to its adjustable bed family, luxury bed maker Hästens, headquartered in Köping, Sweden, has introduced the Lenoria, a handcrafted, all-natural adjustable continental bed with custom features.

The Lenoria features a new and improved Okimat 8 motor, which allows sleepers to raise their head and feet at the same time with a button housed on a state-of-the-art remote. Bed movement also can be controlled using Bluetooth. A wall-hugger devise enables the bed to maintain a consistent distance to the wall. The bed is made with 10 layers of natural materials, including flax, wool from New Zealand and the Netherlands, hypoallergenic horsehair and cotton. It’s available in 21 colors of Hästens’ iconic checked fabric and has three frame finishes—oak, white and black— complete with chassis.

To honor its 160th anniversary, the company has created the Jubilea, a limited-edition bed designed to honor the company’s saddle-making origins. It’s covered in an exclusive denim blue check cloth inspired by the brand’s iconic blue check ticking, as well as the company’s denim-dressed craftsmen of yesteryear. Bed handles are accented with vintage saddle leather, as is the embossed mattress label with featuring a160th anniversary logo.

The bed is available through Sept. 30 at select Hästens stores.
