Scott Passaglia, the talented son of Restonic president and chief executive officer Ron Passaglia, has made it into the finals of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” program, securing one of the highly sought-after spots on Wednesday night.

Scott plays several instruments as part of William Close’s Earth Harp act. I’ve never seen anything like the Earth Harp, an enormous stringed contraption that basically turns the entire TV studio into an instrument. The act has been a favorite of judges Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and Howard Stern throughout the season.

Stern told Close, “You, my friend, are doing everything ‘America’s Got Talent’ is looking for…Keep it up.”

Close’s band will join standup comedian Tom Cotter and sand painter/storyteller Joe Castillo in the finals. Next week, the show will choose another set of three finalists from a second group of 12 semifinalists.

The show will air Tuesday and Thursday (Sept. 4 & 6) to select the next group of finalists. The final acts are scheduled to perform on Wednesday, Sept. 12 with the winner announced Thursday, Sept. 13.

“America’s Got Talent” is one of those programs where audience members vote, so you can help decide if Scott and the other musicians playing with Close will be the eventual winners.
