Craig Dunlop takes helm of Deslee Textiles USA

Fabric supplier DesleeClama Textiles Group, headquartered in Zonnebeke, Belgium, has named Craig Dunlop president of Deslee Textiles USA, which has manufacturing facilities and headquarters in Inman, S.C. He replaces Bart Dehaerne, who has left the industry.

Dunlop is a veteran mattress manufacturing executive who served as president of Sealy Europe from 2002 to 2005 and as chief operating officer of Sealy Canada from 1994 to 2002. Most recently, Dunlop led Bedlam International, a consulting and product development company. Prior to that, he was chief operating officer for office furniture producer Inscape.

“We are very pleased to have Craig on the DesleeClama team, leading our operations in North America,” said Hans Dewaele, DesleeClama co-chief executive officer. “I have known Craig for years, and his strong leadership skills, experience and knowledge of the industry both in North America and globally will clearly help us develop our business and brand.”

Of his new post, Dunlop said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the DesleeClama team and am looking forward to developing a stronger business unit in North America. DesleeClama is without doubt one of the premier textile producers in the world and with our strong history of product innovation and global capabilities, including manufacturing facilities in South Carolina and now in eight different countries, we are well positioned to grow.”
