Ironman mattress brand strengthened in Europe

Vancouver, British Columbia-based Recovery Systems International, which controls the worldwide rights to sublicense the Ironman triathlon brand in the sleep products category, has entered into a new licensing agreement with Murcia, Spain-based mattress producer Grupo Ecus to manufacture and market the “official sleep products of Ironman” in France, Portugal and Spain.

“Grupo Ecus’ South American subsidiary Ecus do Brazil has already launched the branded program with key retailers,” said Joseph Carman, Recovery Systems president. “The success was riveting, and expanding our foundational partnership to Spain, France and Portugal was the logical next step in our partnership.”

Pedro Arcas, Grupo Ecus president, said of the deal, “We’ve already used this licensed program to enrich sales with targeted retailers and grow our overall business. The unique story of ‘recovery through technology,’ backed by a world-class brand resonates with our customers. The program gives us a number of opportunities to expand our distribution.”
