Mattiace law firm adds attorney

The law offices of Joanne E. Mattiace in Windham, Maine, have announced the addition of Regan A. Sweeney to its team. Previously, Sweeney was a trial attorney with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The firm has a longtime presence in Washington, D.C., with expertise in product regulatory matters. It specializes in helping clients bring compliant products to the U.S. marketplace.

“All of us at the law firm are excited that Regan has chosen to become part of our team,” said firm principal Joanne Mattiace. “Regan, with his hands-on experience at the commission, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the firm, further enabling us to assist clients with their product-related responsibilities.”

Mattiace said Sweeney will be integral to the firm’s ongoing efforts to develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs for companies that serve to minimize costly marketplace and product interruptions due to necessary product corrections. Sweeney will represent companies with matters before the CPSC, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and various other government agencies.

A graduate of the American University Washington College of Law, he is a member of the bars of Maryland and the District of Columbia. His admission to the Maine bar is pending.
