David Binke
With the hiring of Binke, Howard Galant, senior vice president of sales, now oversees the western United States and select export accounts.
Binke has 30 years of experience in the mattress industry and most recently was executive vice president of sales at licensing group Comfort Solutions. Prior to that, he held a number of sales positions for the former Spring Air Co., including a stint working for Earl Kluft, E.S. Kluft & Co. president and chief executive officer, when Kluft owned and operated the largest Spring Air plant. Binke began his career as a department store buyer.
“As our business has grown significantly in the east and with our new larger plant in Pennsylvania, we needed to expand our executive management team to help us continue to grow and develop deeper relationships with our dealers,” Kluft said. “I have known David for a very long time and I think he is one of the best sales leaders and executives in the business today.”
Of his new job, Binke said, “I have been watching Earl build an exciting national brand for several years now. I was at a stage in my career where I was yearning for a more entrepreneurial experience, which I believe I’ve found with the Kluft and Aireloom brands. Working again with Earl and his team is a very exciting opportunity that I truly value.”
Binke is based in Naperville, Ill., and reports to Kluft.
