Sleep shop chain Sleep Country USA was named a “best place to work” by Seattle Metropolitan and Oregon Business magazines. The retailer has more than 80 stores in the Northwest and is owned by Sacramento, Calif.-based Sleep Train Inc.
Both publications base their awards on the results of employee surveys. Sleep Country was recognized for its favorable benefits package, employee stock ownership program, culture of philanthropy and extensive training program for new employees. It also was cited for its performance incentives, which include an all-expense-paid trip to Hawaii for top sales performers.
“We are honored to receive this prestigious recognition from local media and, more importantly, our own employees as a great place to build a rewarding career in the Northwest,” said Mike Estes, Sleep Country USA regional vice president. “We work hard to satisfy our employees and our customers in an innovative, community-focused environment and are happy that our efforts have been acknowledged.”
