Organic mattress manufacturer Naturepedic, with headquarters in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, expanded its line at the winter Las Vegas Market Jan. 28-Feb. 1. to include new opening price points and an adjustable base.

The new Essentials mattress has a suggested retail price of $1,799 in cushion firm and $1,999 in plush. The suggested retail for a queen foundation is $599.

The beds have two layers of encased coils wrapped in organic cotton, organic cotton fill and ticking and a new polyester fiber, polyactide that is derived entirely from cornstarch and other renewable plant sources. Essentials is free of latex and wool, two materials that many people are sensitive to.

“Our new Essentials mattress is a luxurious, no-nonsense mattress that is extremely comfortable and supportive and free from harmful chemicals,” said Naturepedic President Jeff Cik. “Using innovative design and natural materials, we have created a price-competitive organic mattress that avoids allergenic materials and does not require fire-retardant chemicals or barriers to meet all flammability requirements.”

Naturepedic also introduced the Conductor, an adjustable base upholstered with organic materials and built on Reverie’s 7S chassis and motor. It’s compatible with most of the company’s mattresses and has a suggested retail price of $2,499 in queen.

The Conductor offers state-of-the-art adjustable features including wireless remotes, programmable positions, massage and optional wireless Bluetooth operation via smart phones or tablets.
