Luxury mattress maker E.S. Kluft & Co.—which in 2012 licensed major Mexican producer Colchones Atlas, headquartered in Naucalpan, to manufacture and market the Kluft and Aireloom product lines in Mexico—reports that its beds now are sold at two leading Mexican retailers, as well as at several smaller ones.
The high-end Mexican department stores Liverpool and El Palacio de Hierro, which each have a national presence, carry Kluft and Aireloom brands retailing for $2,000 to $4,000 (U.S.).
“Our first year in Mexico has been very exciting for us, and we’re confident we found the right partner,” said Earl Kluft, E.S. Kluft & Co. president and chief executive officer. “I have a long personal history with the principals of the company, and it’s their dedication to excellence and impeccable craftsmanship that brought us together. Mexico’s increasingly stable economy has sparked a demand for extravagant goods. For the luxury consumer, this means fewer shoppers will need to travel to the United States to get the products they desire.”
Colchones Atlas manufactures E.S. Kluft brands at its Toluca facility outside of Mexico City.
