Hickory Springs introduces a 7-inch innerspring unit to its ProACT line.
Industry supplier Hickory Springs Mfg. Co., headquartered in Hickory, N.C., has added a taller innerspring unit to its ProACT line. The 7-inch ProACT innerspring uses the company’s InChex technology, where alternating coils turn in opposite directions to reduce motion transfer and provide a stable, balanced sleep surface.
“As mattress manufacturers seek to control costs, the 7-inch ProACT innerspring provides them with a taller unit that enables them to reduce costs while maintaining the integrity of the mattress,” said Rick Anthony, Hickory Springs director of sales for the bedding product division. “As a result, manufacturers are able to keep prices low for their customers without sacrificing quality. The unit also complements the 6-inch ProACT innerspring product that we introduced last year.”
ProACT innersprings have heavy-gauge, open-end offset coils and come in 357 and 396 coil counts (full size). The units can be used in foam-encased mattresses and also are available in perimeter sizes for nonfoam-encased beds, as well.
