As part of a plan announced earlier this year to export product to China, mattress manufacturer Pure LatexBLISS has inked a deal with Hong Kong furniture retailer Sofamark for the distribution of mattresses, pillows and toppers at three Sofamark storefronts in Hong Kong.

The Atlanta-based latex bed maker has created “an ultra-luxury collection” with new profiles for the Chinese market that retails for $2,500 to $8,000 (U.S.).

More than 75 guests attended a grand opening celebration held at the Langham Hong Kong Hotel on March 23. In attendance were Dave Fisher, Latex International president and chief executive officer; Tomas Eisenberg, Latex International vice president of strategic marketing; Kurt Ling, Pure LatexBLISS president; and Sofamark directors Jack Kwan and Nelson Lau.

“We couldn’t be more excited about our new relationship with Sofamark as they share our enthusiasm for bringing the Pure LatexBLISS brand and our ‘lift, relax, relieve’ message to the Hong Kong market,” Ling said. “Hong Kong represents an important first step for our China expansion plans as it remains the leading luxury goods market in the region. Sofamark customers value U.S. manufactured goods, and it is our privilege to provide them with the finest quality sleep products available in the world today.”
