Pressure-mapping technology provider XSENSOR Technology Corp. will officially launch the Reveal system at Interzum Cologne May 13-16 in Cologne, Germany.
Reveal is powered by the Calgary, Alberta-based company’s X3 pressure-mapping technology. Taking that technology to the next level, Reveal measures both pressure points and body conformity to the mattress, the company said. The system uses “an exceptionally accurate pressure- imaging system to display a dynamic, high-resolution body pressure image” to assist retail sales associates with mattress recommendations.
Reveal has 1,664 sensors and is available in wireless and wired versions. The dashboard is simple to operate and enables sales associates to make unbiased, informed mattress recommendations to individuals and couples, according to the company. Shoppers need lie down on the test bed just once to be evaluated for mattress conformity and pressure points.
“The initial feedback from our retail partners who are using Reveal have told us that this new approach to showing the comfort and support a mattress provides helps them to remove customer uncertainty and confusion, leading to higher closing rates, higher average selling prices and fewer product returns,” said Stephen Anstey, XSENSOR director of market development.
