Boyteks product lauded at Interzum

Boyteks Triple Fresh mattress fabric

Boyteks’ Triple Fresh fabric won a High Product Quality prize at the Interzum Cologne trade fair in May.

Textile supplier Boyteks was an award winner in the High Quality Product category at the Interzum Cologne biennial trade fair held May 13-16 in Cologne, Germany. An independent jury judged Boyteks’ Triple Fresh an innovative new knit mattress fabric.

“Triple Fresh, developed by Boyteks’ R&D department, diffuses and eliminates unwanted odors that negatively affect human health and is the latest innovation available in sleep technology,” said Önder Honi, Boyteks vice general manager of sales and marketing. “Our new product improves the quality of life by minimizing negative effects such as allergies, headaches, nausea and eye irritation, resulting from exposure to harmful gases, thanks to its sleep-environment, air-cleaning feature.”

According to a Boyteks news release, the fabric contains long-lasting “metal catalysts that set in motion a series of reactions to toxic gases, leaving them harmless.”

Boyteks operates three plants in Kayseri and Bursa that produce mattress and upholstery fabrics, as well as carpet. Plans for its mattress fabric segment include a 15% production-capacity increase for 2013. Boyteks also recently added warp knits and velvets to its upholstery fabric line.

In 2012, the company reported double-digit growth and said it is on target to repeat those numbers in 2013, the news release said.
