Spring Back Recycling celebrates milestone

Spring Back Recycling celebrated the recycling of its 30,000th mattress in early May with an event that included Kim Brown Knopf, chief executive officer of Innovative Mattress Solutions; John Gonas, president of Spring Back Recycling; and other local dignitaries.

Spring Back Recycling was founded in Nashville, Tenn., by Belmont University students to keep mattress materials from landfills. In partnership with Belmont Church’s Isaiah 58 Ministries, the enterprise further developed its mission by creating jobs for formerly incarcerated men in need of employment.
